Description:
Guillaume Connesson. Mr. Kraggerud, who "impressed with his gorgeous, relaxed sound" and "played with a genuine sense of joy" in his May 2006 CSO debut, performs a concerto that, while harmonically innovative for its time, displays all of the charm and elegance that are hallmarks of Mozart's music. The warmth and lyricism of Brahms' Symphony No. 2 brings a final burst of sunshine to this attractive program.
